Vanessa Martin
Vanessa Martin is the former Director of IME Dance Center, and the current Artistic Director and Choreographer of the Phenomenon Dance Company . Vanessa has produced 10 full length shows with Phenomenon, including their most recent show titled,” LOVE LETTERS.” Her dance and choreography has graced the stages of concerts such as E40, Twista, The Game, Bone Thugz in Harmony, and The Phormula. She has also worked on industrial projects for NAPA Auto Parts, BUILD San Francisco, The Qwest Events Center in Seattle, and Rockstar Energy Drink. Her dance company has filmed a casting pilot for MTV’s MADE, being considered for work with the show.
Vanessa’s extensive list of training includes Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, and Contemporary from EDGE Dance Center in Los Angeles, Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, Dance Mission in San Francisco, Monsters of Hip Hop, and master workshops with some of the best in the industry. Though Hip Hop and Jazz funk are her current focus, Vanessa has also been trained in Modern, Contemporary and Jazz technique as a dance major from San Francisco State University, University of Oregon, and Lane Community College, but holds her B.A. in Spanish, with a Minor in Business.
Vanessa brings extensive experience, expertise, excellence, and a passion for dance to her projects and endeavors as a director, choreographer, and as a dancer. She is currently working on her expansion as a recording artist, and also continues to instruct master classes and workshops throughout.
